If you're excited about going deeper into the work of spiritual herbalism and your own magical connection to the plants, to medicine, and to the craft of the herbwise- this is the course for you! In it you'll be given wisdom and experiences not openly taught in other classes. This course is designed to nourish established herbalists, folks working with plants in their spiritual practices and rituals, students of herbalism, medicine makers, occult botanists, and medicine growers.

Our 6 weeks of formal classes give you, quite literally, what usually takes 27 classes to cover when in person. This is all the information in a more condensed and streamlined presentation since classes can be re-watched over and over at your convenience.

Instead of learning to memorize what herbs are 'good for', we invite you to join us and learn how to think, feel, and connect like a spiritual herbalist! What you learn in this course will empower you to learn deeply from the plants in powerful ways as you continue on your journey.
  • Well over 25 hours of immersive education taught directly by Josh over 6 class sessions.
  • Course covers a massive array of topics under the banner of spiritual herbalism as Josh practices and teaches it. While this course is open to everyone, it is suggested that folks have at least some herbal knowledge and some experience in making herbal remedies and working with herbs.
  • We meet nearly 100 herbs along with an exploration of 10 body systems (physical and body-mind complexes), common pathologies of disharmony, protocols from Josh and other herbalists, formulae, and spiritual insights into form, function, and process.
  • We also discuss medicine crafting from angles of ritual, intention, and Josh's 'pro tips' for successful herbal remedies
  • Classes are info-dense and move at a steady pace. There will be time for questions throughout but the sessions are packed full in order to maximize what we can accomplish in 6 weeks.
  • Attendees will be provided relevant supplemental digital materials as needed- handouts, PDFs, images, related video classes, audio recordings, etc. To be defined.
  • A suggested book list will be provided in advance with books referenced in the course. It is highly suggested that these books be procured as part of your course studies but you will be fine without them.
  • A 7th session will be offered as a time for overflow material, follow-up questions, shares, and decompression.
  • A list of suggested materials and supplies will be provided in advance. Having these on hand will ensure the student can immediately work on what is covered in class, but none of them are required in part of full to take the course.

  • Completely online!
  • Classes happen every Sunday at 12pm MST for 7 consecutive weeks
  • Sessions will be anywhere from 3 to 4.5 hours in length
  • All sessions are live and take place on Zoom - in-person attendance is important for this class
  • Classes will be a combination of live discussion, PowerPoint slides, and video presentations with Q&A time throughout and at the end of each session
  • Session recordings, slides, and any supportive content will be available the day after class for you to review and re-watch for 6 months
  • We request that all attendees have a microphone to participate in Q&A and discussions.
