Galdorcræft in Wortcunning

To speak something is to send out waves of intent, power, and magic- causing the very web of existence to vibrate with transformation. In the ancient traditions of Wortcunning, Galdor, the verbal recitation of charms, chants, songs, and spells is an essential part of stirring the plants’ virtues and connecting the work to the person being cared for.

In this experiential workshop series, we’ll look at traditions of Galdor in Anglo-Saxon and Norse Healing traditions focused specifically on herbal medicine and magic. Using existing charms and chants, we’ll learn the mechanics of Galdorcræft and how to employ this powerful act of magic in our own plant spirit work.
