The Ways of Wortcunning • Level One

Wyrtcræft • Level One • Foundations
Our green allies thrive in good soil- and like them we begin our studies of the sacred artes of Wortcunning by creating a strong foundation upon which we can grow, be nourished, and develop our craft.
In Level One we create rich, fertile soil that gives good tidings to all studies, experiences, and expressions that we engage in moving forward.
This level, while being the first of three, is by no means basic! We start from the beginning but move into the many deep mysteries of Wortcunning, Spiritual Herbalism, Occult Botany, and the Plant Spirit Path with each step. Even within the first few lessons of this course students will be engaging with the work, connecting with herbs and their stories, and experiencing the wisdom of the plants.
Those who successfully complete Level One are eligible to continue on to Level Two.

ONLINE LEARNING
The entire Wyrtcræft Program happens online, in community. Each class will take place via Zoom and will include discussion and lecture, demonstrations, slides & notes, handouts, and supportive materials. If you are unable to attend the live classes, you can watch replays at your convenience for one full year! Repetition is the key to learning, so we encourage all students to watch the classes as many times as they are able during their course year.
CLASSROOM & CONNECTIONS
Students will have access to a private discord server where they can chat, ask questions, share with one another, and be inspired by what everyone is up to.
JOURNEY & GOALS
As we establish the foundations of exceptional Wortcunning practice, we hope that each student will make the most of their time with the group, the teachers, and the collective experience. There is so much more to learning these sacred artes than just attending classes! Research and journal prompts, projects, and adjunct experiences are a core aspect of this program. Students who engage with all of them to the best of their ability will get the most out of the experience and will be qualified to continue their education in Level Two and Level Three.
The Wyrtcræft Program is comprehensive and authentic in its scope of modern Wortcunning practice and is best taken as a furthering of a formal clinical herbalism program. If you would like personalized guidance on selecting a foundational herbalism course, please reach out to us and we will be happy to offer some trusted recommendations!
Teachers and assistants will be available throughout the active calendar of the course to answer questions, provide feedback, and participate in all class chats and experiences.

In order to complete each level and be invited to attend the next level, students should strive to attend all live classes, watch/listen replays of each class several times, complete all prompts and projects in a timely manner, and participate in class and teacher discussions. If any student struggles to keep up or complete any specific prompts, we are happy to work with them to make space and accommodations that meet them where they are and support their successful completion of the course.
